Bio

Eric grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix. Today he makes his home in Chicago.

Eric won three Reader Views literary awards for his coming-of-age novel, Secrets of the Other Side, including Best Fiction Book of the Year. His short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and literary magazines. He earned his MFA in creative writing from Wichita State University.

When not writing, Eric enjoys curling up with a good book, seeking inspiration from the big screen, or lacing up his running shoes and hitting trails around Chicago and beyond. He is thankful for many great friends who’ve inspired him and touched his life. He was blessed to have a mother, grandmother, and stepfather who worked miracles during the hardest of times, and he is grateful to be part of a family where love always wins out over strife.
